MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Last weekend and shit... it's Christmas!

This past weekend was huge for me. The Tonight We Ride show was awesome. Even more people showed up - including strangers that happened to be there last time. So that was awesome. The show was comparatively stripped down when held next the the halloween stage extras, but we still had some christmas goodies goin on. We wore horrible christmas sweaters we hunted down from thrift stores, made a cardboard fireplace complete with fire video inside, and threw out beheaded stuffed animals from a huge santa bag between songs. We closed with a scorching cover of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". The other bands all complimented us after and people bought me about ten shots, so it turned into a pretty wild time. Getting the equipment back to the practice space was interesting. (I was NOT driving.)

Then, Sunday morning (whoops) was my first public Second City improv performance. I was really worried about it. (not to mention hung-the-fuck-over) However, it went really well - we all had a blast. It was really cool to see how a production on the Second City mainstage works too. Waiting back stage to go on and reading quotes from the likes of Chris Farley and company scrawled on the walls was pretty surreal. Here are some pics.

And all of the sudden, Christmas is mere days away. Crazy. Merry Christmas everyone!
