wednesday, the fifth of january (snow falls down so beautiful & stupid)
Today I'm going to attempt to incorporate pictures as illustrations. I wish this site was better equipt to do so. Today was a pretty nice day, lots of material to write about, if I can make myself do it. This morning when I got on the L train to go to work, I was side by side with a co-worker, which is a cosmic coincidence if you think about it, considering I live in a city of 3 million and live quite some distance from where I work. The workday went swiftly, due to the several deliveries I was sent on. Snow fell all day and slowly accumulated on everything around, minus the street... they keep that shit in check around here. Apparently there are salt trucks out at 4 am the day before snow is even forecast. Maybe they're in cahoots with some celebrity psychics. Latoya Jackson sitting with some mustached man in overalls in the seats of a snowplow. Who knows. Anyways, the nicest little moment of the day goes to: Standing with a stranger in a leaning wooden shack watching the snow fall sideways. We were waiting for his co-worker to haul some bags of salt over with a forklift. He said "man, most people be complainin' about this shit all day, but look at it... its beautiful." i hope you continue to use buzznet too, but it seems that everyone really likes flickr too...
i miss the snow. it was 16 today, and no snow. what a cruel joke.
to post pics, type this in the "edit html" option of your posting page...

oh... other html stuff, you can use this on most websites that allows posts too.
and if you ever make a website, this is very basic html.
to make text that is a link:
< a href="http://www.atlatlband.com">atlatl< /a >
where the spaces are removed nexts to the <>'s, the "http://www...." is the web address, and the "atlatl" is the text that you want to be a link.
to embed audio clips or mp3's:
< embed src="http://images.indymedia.org/imc/washingtondc/media/audio/6/89126_short_version_state_of_the_u.mp3" autostart="true" >
again, remove the spaces and substitue the "http://www..." with the web address of the audio file.
to embed quicktime videos (.mov or .mpeg):
< EMBED src=http://www.the-corps.com/archives/ThroneFlight_web.mov width=320 height=252 type=video/quicktime>< /EMBED >
remove the spaces, sustitue the web address, and if the video is bigger adjust the height and width numbers to fit the right size (usually 320x252 or 640x480/502)...
i hope those work for you!!! maybe save them in a simple text file on your desktop that you can copy and paste from... thats what i do because i cant seem to memorize them.
